Upper Eyelid

Upper eyelid surgery, or blepharoplasty, requires the removal of fat and redundant skin and is the most common of cosmetic eye surgeries.

Although sometimes performed for cosmetic reasons, this surgery may be considered medically necessary when excess skin and fat interfere with normal vision. Removal of redundant skin folds and fat from the upper lids creates a smoother; better defined eyelid surface.




Lower Eyelid

Removal of excessive skin and fat in the lower eyelids is one of the more common facial cosmetic surgical procedures.

Baggy eyelids, or circles under the eye, often result from fat behind the eyelid and the stretching of skin that comes with aging. When excess fat under the eyelid is removed or repositioned and excess skin is removed, a smoother skin tone and more youthful appearance can be achieved.
